KiwiNet has a fresh look

As we move forward with new opportunities, new ideas, and a bigger and brighter vision for Aotearoa's commercialisation sector, it was time to move our brand forward too.

Our refreshed look is a purposeful evolution of KiwiNet's identity. From humble beginnings as Unicom in 2003, then evolving into KiwiNet in 2011, we have experienced significant transformation and growth. And so has our wider commercialisation community – in size, experience, capability, success, and ambition.

We have become united in our collective vision to create a world-leading commercialisation system that delivers significant impact for Aotearoa. Together, we have provided $56.5M in PreSeed Accelerator Funding, supported over 100 ambitious scientists through the Emerging Innovator Programme, formed 76 start-up companies and delivered $464M in total known financial returns to NZ.

But we know there is immense potential for more – more diverse ideas securing investment, more talented leaders choosing commercialisation, more NZ innovation changing the world for the better. Our core vision hasn't changed, but the size of our aspirations has.

Hāpaitia te ara tika, pūmau ai te rangatiratanga mo ngā uri whakatipu.

Foster the pathway of knowledge to strength, independence, and growth for future generations.

KiwiNet is here for publicly-funded research with big ambitions. To accelerate our nation's best science discoveries to market. To forge a better future for Aotearoa, together.

Our new look represents curiosity, collaboration, ambition, and our belief in the power of science to change the world.

We are still working on some additional elements, including a new website, and look forward to sharing more with you in the coming months.
