Lincoln Agritech is a 100% subsidiary of Lincoln University and is based on campus at Lincoln University, near Christchurch, New Zealand. Our North Island office is located on the Ruakura Research Campus in Hamilton, New Zealand.
Lincoln Agritech is an inventive research and development organisation and employs around 40 staff, including scientists, research engineers and software developers. It has an independent Board of Directors.
Lincoln Agritech's core capabilities are well aligned with the value chain of the primary sector – from on-farm precision management of inputs such as fertiliser and irrigation, to protecting the sustainable productivity of the land and environment, to maximising the efficiency and value-add of manufacturing and processing activities by applying new sensor technologies.
Lincoln Agritech has a long history of adding value through its research and development. Lincoln Agritech previously traded as Lincoln Ventures from 1994 to 2012; Lincoln Ventures was created in 1994 through combining a number of operations, including the New Zealand Agricultural Engineering Institute (NZAEI), the Kellogg Farm Management Unit and the Centre for Resource Management.
